Quirky. Unapologetic. Flamboyant. Loud. Pinoy's are known to be one of the happiest people in the world. I guess being a developing country (aka 3rd World) has made us that way...we've experienced a lot of hardships as a nation and somehow it's through those tough times that we learned how to find joy in the simplest of things and also know what really matters. Man can have all the riches in the world but still feel empty. Here I share with you some thoughts on the daily lives of Pinoys. Our interests...our culture. That which, to the foreigners, can sometimes seem quirky and yet all out fun. |

The Jeepney

Travelling the streets of the Metro (be it Manila, Cebu, Davao, etc.) won't be the same if not for the Pinoy's ultimate Public Transport. At Php 7.00 (minimum fare) you'd be able to reach your destination. Just need to be streetsmart and alert so you won't be a victim of pick-pockets and pervs. Funny 'cos I still find it safer to ride a jeepney than ride a cab. "Safety in numbers?"...maybe. |
| Videoke | Pinoys love to sing and this magic of a box (or mic) has done wonders to most people (myself included) who just want to express themselves. Nevermind if you're sintonado...it's all part of it. Just don't sing " My Way" , okay?! ;) Redbox anyone? |
